Basco® Custom Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers — Engineered for Your Application

Before there were standard products, there were engineered products, with each heat exchanger designed for the application. Our Basco® custom shell and tube heat exchangers have filled virtually every heat transfer need for 150 Years. From shell sizes ranging from 6″ (150mm) to 144″ (3,658mm) and tube lengths up to 50 feet, every unit is designed to your exact operating conditions.

Our experienced design and engineering staff apply decades of thermal modeling expertise to your specific application. Whether you need single-pass, 2-pass, or 4-pass configurations, bare or finned tubes, or exotic alloy materials for aggressive process fluids, we engineer the solution that delivers optimal performance and long-term reliability.

Materials

Head and tube materials include cast iron, bronze, 316 stainless steel, fabricated carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, and 90/10 copper-nickel. Additional exotic alloys are available for specialized or corrosive applications. Tube configurations include tri-pitch, square pitch, lofin, BASCOR, and plate fin options.

Codes & Certifications

Basco custom shell and tube heat exchangers are designed and manufactured to comply with a wide variety of international codes and standards, including:

  • EU Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
  • Chinese Safety Quality License
  • Australian Pressure Vessel Code AS1210
  • Singapore Pressure Vessel Code
  • DOSH Malaysian Pressure Vessel Code
  • Canadian Registration Number (CRN)
